"Scotty, beam me up some good vibrations"

My wife and I were watching The Beach Boys on PBS and they started playing "Good Vibrations," classic! Those familiar with the song will recall that they use a Theremin for that weird high pitched noise. I got excited and started to tell my lovely wife about the instrument. It's one of the first electronic instruments ever made and I included some information about the Theremin in a paper I once wrote on electronic music in film-scoring (Yes. I'm a card carrying nerd). Watch this clip and you'll recognize the sound from the Beach Boys song "Good Vibrations" or the early sci-fi films (30's-50's) out of Hollywood.

Caution, I found this gem on the Moog synthesizer website and it combines two of the nerds greatest loves, Star Trek (the old one) ans strange musical instruments. It's a thing of beauty.
