Microcuento


Parado ante los eternos hexágonos y el sin fin de libros, el joven bibliotecario se rindió.  Hundido en la atmósfera, esperó que la Biblioteca de Babel tuviera cimientos.

I'm not sure about the use of the verb hundir, any suggestions? I've been sitting on this one for a while, but I thought I'd throw it out there and see what you think.

It is a verb and it's used. Really though: drowned, smothered, surrounded, enveloped. Those are some ideas if you're looking for a translation of the idea of hundir here.

So I thought this was pretty good, a whole story wrapped up in two sentences (with some liberal borrowing from Borges), open ending, and there are some philosophical questions there as well.
