The first guy was cool in high school. The second guy is pissed that he got suckered into doing this. The third guy is awesome. What about the rest of them?

That third guy is classic.
I seem to remember the superbowl shuffle being a pretty popular pattern to follow in talent shows that year so I'm not too surprised that these guys turned to it. The hardest worker in this group was definitely the writer who concentrated all his/her efforts on finding rhymes for 'shuffle.'
I loved it! We did something sort of like that on a General Mills team building day. How is your thesis coming?
