Yeah. I am realizing one of the reasons why I need to not stay in eternal "I'm ABD, I can work as a lecturer" land.....on Thursday my 201 students gave me 56 exams, and my 311 students gave me 37 exams and 36 compositions (I was really grateful for the kid that didn't bother!). And they don't use subject/verb agreement either....and say things like "Me llamo es...". Seriously. Yeah.
Fantastic!!!!!! I especially love how you've metamorphosized into a brutally ugly, man-eating, troll potato with sharp teeth and bizco eyes. I bet if that picture could smell bad, it would.
And M, my deepest condolences for your 129 grading items. We should hold a funerary vigil for the countless hours that will be killed in the grading of said items.
I still have to grade the essay portion of the exams, so the moment of silence continues here in Irvine. Not sure if M is done grading hers yet.
In other news, if I didn't also have to worry about taking grad classes and understanding obscure french dudes, I think I could be a rockin' grammar teacher. My class would be fun, the students would get their grades back on time. It would be very different from how it is now. We still have fun as much as we can.

A moment of silence please, ladies and gentlemen.

Is the moment of silence over yet?

I think the moment of silence ends sometime in December with the semester. So until then, NO TALKING!!!!!
